The Big Sing– Here’s the Plan
CAMERATA: The Big Sing is THIS TUESDAY!!!! Here is a run-down of everything you need to know:
Meet: 8.30am in M block. NO MORNING REHEARSAL
Returning: We will return to Waimea College bus bay around 11.15pm
Wear: School Uniform for travel and throughout the day (no polyprops, only black jackets and scarves– same as at school)
Bring Performance Uniform: Ironed performance shirt & black pants, black socks, black (nuggeted) shoes
Hair: Bring hair ties/ clips. Your hair will be off your face– you do it or we will
Food: NO JUNK FOOD TODAY– It will affect your performance (includes fizzy and energy drinks, any dairy including chocolate, McDonald’s, etc). Bring money for a healthy lunch and dinner (or packed lunch/ dinner) and healthy snack food.
Other Gear: Make sure we have brought: conductor’s box, tambourine, hand drum
Please note: We WILL NOT HAVE EXTRA PERFORMANCE SHIRTS or any uniform items. It is your responsibility to bring what you need!
Do you still have questions? Ask them here– you may not be the only one who wants to know! Or find me in my office or parents can ring 544 6099 x896
Your parents might find this useful:
Door sales may be available—best to ring the Marlborough Centre or book online
Contact any staff member via text/ phone call throughout the day, but keep in mind that we will have phones off during competitions/ performances (Chris Burcin—021711132)
All students will travel back to Waimea College on the bus unless written permission has been received prior to the day—no other drop-off points, no students going home with parents from the Marlborough Centre
Parking: wardens are reportedly vigilant at the Marlborough Centre—try Henry St. for long term parking or Countdown for a 2 hour park
Please don’t be late to the Waimea College bus bay at night—staff and students will be exhausted, and everyone will be expected at school the following day

Hey Mr B. you didn’t say this because I guess it’s obvious, but bring a drink bottle everyone. Remember – drink water, drink water and then drink some more water. See you all tomorrow.
